Kyle Weiss holds a BA in Urban Planning from The Ohio State University and an MA in Emergency Management from Oklahoma State University—Summa Cum Laude. As a captain with the Charleston Fire Department, he has witnessed the raw depths of human nature in life-or-death situations, experiences that fuel his storytelling. A passionate researcher with a flair for game theory, Kyle has crafted published response plans for earthquakes, hurricanes, and terrorism, blending real-world urgency with intellectual rigor. When he’s not on duty, you can find him reading philosophy, physics, history, and thrillers, boating along the coast, or engaging in heartfelt conversations with the homeless.
